Group Therapy.
At Wise-Mind DBT Brisbane, our 12 Week DBT Skills Group provides a structured and supportive space to build the practical skills needed to manage intense emotions, navigate relationships, and cope more effectively with distress. Delivered in a small group setting, the program brings together people who share similar struggles with emotional overwhelm, impulsive behaviours, and patterns that feel difficult to change. Each week focuses on a core area of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, allowing participants to develop a balanced and comprehensive set of coping tools grounded in their own lived experience.
What sets our DBT group apart is its strong emphasis on real-world application. Skills are not taught in isolation, but practised, discussed, and refined in the context of everyday challenges. With the guidance of experienced DBT therapists, participants receive clear, practical coaching on how to use these skills in the moments they are most needed.
